Connecting the apps your teams use is the foundation of Pattyrn. Without connecting your apps, we cannot analyze how you work to deliver performance metrics and help you grow into a higher functioning company, team, or individual.
We strive to make it as easy as possible to connect your platforms. If you are the admin of the team account, navigate to the Connection Hub by clicking the lightning bolt icon on the left navigation bar when you are logged in to your account (shown in Figure 1).

The Connection Hub is filled with beneficial information. We will go through each section and break down what they mean for you and how you can expect to use them to your benefit.
Supported Apps Section

The first section you come across is the supported apps section (shown in Figure 2). Here you will find apps that are recommended by the Pattyrn team. Each app is represented as a card that you can click on to connect your instance to Pattyrn. When you click on a card, depending on how the app requires Pattyrn to connect, you may get redirected out of Pattyrn to your app, where it will ask you to grant permissions for Pattyrn to access your data.

Each supported app will appear as a card, like the one in Figure 3. Each card will show the app's logo in the center. Like in Figure 3, there can be a banner on the top-right of the card. The different banners that can appear are:
No banner - You don't have any connections to this app.
Connected - You have a connection to this app already.
Coming Soon - This app is currently being worked on and will be supported in Pattyrn soon.
Planned - We are planning to support this app in Pattyrn.
If the app has a banner that says coming soon or planned, you can't connect the app yet, and clicking on the card is disabled.
On the bottom of each app card, there will be icons for each of the Key Areas that the app contributes data for.

Below the featured section, you will see a list of the connections your team has already created. Each row will have the type of connection and possibly the unique identifier for the connection.
Additionally, you will be able to see if the connection has any errors or warnings, what teams are using the connection, and the current status of the connection (connected or processing).
Connecting a New App
To connect a new app, click the app card of your choice in the featured apps section (explained above). Once you click the card, you will be temporarily redirected to the app login to authorize Pattyrn.
Once you have authorized your account, you will be returned to Pattyrn to finish the connection process. If you have successfully connected your account, you will be redirected to the edit connection view for your new connection. Here you can adjust any settings that are available for your connection.
Once you have at least one app connected, you should start seeing performance metrics in your user dashboard. 🎉
There are times when your team no longer uses an app(s) you have connected. To disconnect the app, go to the edit page for the connection by clicking the pencil icon on the right of the connection row. Then scroll to the bottom of the page and click the button labeled "disconnect" in the "Delete Connection" section. Once you click the button, your connection will be permanently removed, and you will be navigated back to the Connection Hub.
